Let's Get Lucky Sale

Greetings to all,
As the flowers of Valentine's Day wilt and with Spring and St. Patrick’s Day rapidly approaching, I would like to wish you an Old Irish Blessing –

“Blessings be to all wives and girlfriends; May the two never meet.”

When speaking of the Irish, “Luck” (no not Andrew Luck - the QB for the Colts, but rather the idea success or failure is brought on by chance independent of one’s actions) always comes to mind.

Now whether you believe in it or not, it is something to ponder – Would you rather have the skill or “Good Luck”? At this point in life, I’ll settle for either.

LUCK - There must be something to it – SpaceX has a four leaf clover on their emblem and their rocket - the Dragon  – has the name and image of a dragon – thought to bring career luck and success in many Asian cultures / a rabbit’s foot – not too lucky if you are the rabbit / a penny face up – supposed to bring prosperity to your marriage – guess they do not think too much of marriage / the lucky number 7 – the jury is still out on this one - in China it is associated with death – in Germany  if you do not have eye contact while toasting - whoa - 7 years bad sex - see guys its not that you are aging - it was that German chick you bought a drink for when in Berlin a couple of years ago – not only did she think you were an obnoxious American; she ruined your sex life – good to know / and then of course there is Dirty Harry “"Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya punk?”

What’s all this got to do with us – well you don’t need to look for “luck” – it has already found you at our Let’s Get Lucky Sale :

Plus if it is already reduced - say it lists for $8.99/yd but is on sale for $6.99/yd – you still get the 20% off the sale price - in our example that’s only $5.59/yd!   Talk about Luck!

*New arrivals – This would turn into a book if I tried to list all of the new items and praise to my better half – there is a section on the website –New Arrivals – and Janet has been diligently posting items and collections on it, however it is limited in scope. So here are a few things from another dimension:

Star Wars the Force Awakens – Here is your chance to take a “bad boy” home – Kylo Ren – the new villian from the blockbuster movie.  We have the new quilt shop quality fabrics from Camelot Fabrics- they now have a Disney contract and we look forward to their future designs on some of the world’s most popular characters.  The panel of Kylo Ren boasts a big 35” span – that is 11” larger than your average panel.  We have the complimentary fabrics to make your project – well - just stellar!

Threads – Look for the new displays in the front window and on the glass front cabinet near the back of the shop.

Soft Touch – A high quality 60wt bobbin and embellishment thread in assorted colors.   Signature – A name synonymous with quality thread: we now stock.
Signature cotton 40wt machine thread specifically made for superior performance with long arm machines.
Maxi Lock – Yes, we finally got it.  A great thread made especially for sergers.

Swadling cloth – This is extremely soft and pliable.  Although, is intended to protect the baby and the skin, I can also see it caressing the metal of a fine automobile.   Now all I need a fine ride!

Tuffets – Many thanks to Jean Walker for lending her Tuffet to us for display.   These are wildly popular and several customers have made more than one.  We have all the supplies, save for the wooden frame and legs, to make your own.  After all, why should Miss Muffet have the only one?

Patterns – Most of them are now indexed boxes on the first table in the classroom area. From the meager beginning of a partial box, we have now grown to 7 boxes of hundreds of patterns.  At the present time they are also 10% off list price!

Clover Products – We have finally finished putting out quite an extensive array of Clover Products – a company which manufactures quality notions for the sewing industry.  Although, they are now all hanging on the pegboard, due to the shear number of items, it may be a bit before they are all listed on line.

Electronic Media – In the glass display case at the rear of the main store we have began to stock and offer assorted embroidery CDs and DVDs.  The case will continue to fill as more become available.

Katahdin Quilt Batting (by Bosal) – Located close to the cutting table in the main store.  This has quickly become a favorite for prepackaged batting.  It comes in all the normal sizes but offers the additional convenience of 100% cotton batting with no scrim in different weights Winter – the heaviest, Fall – middle of the road , and Summer – the lightest.

The Kitchen Sink – New Bali Pops, jelly rolls, layer cakes, color me fabrics, patterns, books, rulers, chenille, toweling, and of course lots and lots of fabric.  Come check us out.

I assure you Janet will not let us run out of fabric!       Until next time, we at Thread Bear Fabrics wish to extend to you our heartfelt thanks for your patronage.

In closing, I must share with you with two terrific pick up lines I heard for Valentine’s Day thus proving men can be very romantic:

1.  If you were a booger, I would pick you.
2. My love for you is like diarrhea, I just can’t hold it in.

As a footnote, if your son or grandson decides to use one of these, I would suggest wearing an athletic cup.   Regrettably, after conferring with Janet, I decided to go with flowers.

Best Wishes and Happy St. Patrick’ Day,
Janet + Randy
