Memorial Day & Other Miscellaneous Items
We are in the final days of our Clean Spring / Mother's Day sale. The current sale will go through June 2nd. I will detail the sale at the end of the newsletter.
I just wanted to mention a few items that may be of interest:
Memorial Day
I thought that Memorial Day was the unofficial start of summer as the first day of summer is actually June 21, but it's already hitting 90 here in hot-lanta! I think Mother Nature is confused these days. I saw snow in Minnesota on the news this morning and hail storms last week! And the rain in some areas - unbelievable. What is happening? Can Mother Nature develop dementia?
Randy and I have decided to close on Memorial Day. We will be open on Saturday, May 25th normal hours - 10 am to 4 pm EST and will re-open Tuesday, May 28th at 10 am.
We hope everyone will have a safe Memorial Day. Please take time to honor and remember those that died in service to our nation.
Block of the Month Programs
We want to thank everyone that has participated in our BOM programs.
We are in the final phases of the following programs:
Quilter's Friendship - Using collections from French General and Minick & Simpson. These collections are beginning to sell out, so if you want a backing from the collections, please considering ordering the fabric soon. These fabric cannot be re-ordered, so we have only the fabrics in stock for the backing.
Sew in Love - I am still receiving calls to kit this quilt. I have placed 3 orders for additional fabrics from the "Little Sweethearts" collection that Edyta Sitar uses in this program. The fabric is no longer going to be printed and some of the fabrics I purchased last week were "last" bolts.
If you want the suggested backing for this quilt - 8822-E, I ask that you place your order soon as these bolts are limited and if I need to order more yardage, I need to do so soon. The quilt requires 4.75 yards for the backing. Below is an image of 8822-E which is the suggested backing fabric.
If you have decided that you want the kit, I have enough fabric in stock to cut 3 or 4 more kits. But please note that this number may change as orders for this collection continue to come in.
Cream & Sugar - I still have space in this program. This is a 12 month program and the cost is $19.99 per month (plus taxes and shipping of $5.00 if applicable). This program using Edyta Sitar's Sonoma collection - a beautiful neutral collection.
Stonehenge Block Party
I contacted by sales rep for Northcott and was advised that I could sell our block for the Block Party online. So those who have inquired to purchase the block online may now do so. I have a link on the home page to the item listing.
