As Thanksgiving is fast upon us, we pause to count our many blessings. Yes, we have many blessings in our life. I would like to thank each of you that have blessed us by being part of our quilting life. Thread Bear Fabrics started as Janet’s personal therapy for attempting to deal with the loss of her oldest son. But as the years have gone by each of you have helped make Thread Bear the business it is today. We may not have the great displays of other shops and our shelves are overfilled with too many fabrics; but the spirit of the shop is not the materials within the building. Each of you have made our shop special by coming in and sharing your time with us. When there is a line at the table, there is "visiting" among customers that is heartwarming. I like to think of everyone as family. Thank you for being part of ours.
As many of you know Janet has undergone sugrery for ankle replacement, fusion with bone graph and marrow transplant on 11/21/2022. All prayers and well wishes are greatly appreciated. We look forward to her return in 12 weeks. I am pretty well lost without Janet in so many ways, but Tina speaks fluent "Fabric" so your needs will be met as quickly as possible. I ask for you patience and understanding during this stressful time.
On a more positive note - they are operating on her leg - not her hands or mouth- so she can still order fabrics (Knew I shouldn't have bought her that IPad!). As we did not already have enough fabric, with 12 weeks of limited mobility and only 20 season of NCIS to watch, it is a safe bet she will be pushing the order button quite often.
Now with that said, let's talk business:

For the guys:
Now guys, I know the Christmas shopping season does not start for us until the 23rd of December and it is way early in the season to talk about packaging - but trust me she will like that diamond ring (the one with the blood stain around the diamond - hey it washes off right?) you bought from 3 Fingers Lenny on the corner of 14th street in a baggie. Now I know you think she has X-ray vision, but in August she could not peer inside the lawn mower to tell you the piston was cracked - so chances are she will not be able to see inside the box in December. Dude, add some anticipation / mystery. A baggie? Really? It's see through unless you reuse one that had mac and cheese in it. (Be sure to wipe out the cheese first!) Besides with a box you get folded corners - all for FREE!!
Why pay for a box for shipping? Ours are free! Take one - take all. Trust me Janet is not going to stop ordering. Just like the old Cheetos commercial "We'll make more!"
As Janet has now signed up for Social Security, she has officially joined me as a member of the senior citizens club. I offered her a new perspective. A comment like "You are really good in bed" now means you don't take all the covers.
