12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 4

Dear Friends,

The weeks are going way too fast.  The holiday season is quickly approaching.  About 3 weeks to Halloween, about 7 to Thanksgiving, and a bit over 10 to Christmas.  When I get to this time of year time just disappears.  Halloween and fall decorations are leaving the store shelves and Christmas decorations are now on full display.  As a quilter, I am thinking about what I need to finish that will be under the tree this year.  Holiday parties with friends are in the planning stages and plans for the family are starting to take shape.  I am tired just thinking about the season.

With all the thoughts of the holidays, this week's sale will reflect these thoughts.  This week you can enjoy 25% off Christmas Fabrics, Halloween and fall fabrics, Breast Cancer Awareness fabrics, and notions (does not include contract items).  Use coupon code Four23 at checkout to receive the discount.  This sale will expire Saturday, October 14th at midnight.  The main categories can be found on the homepage under Featured items.  (Note:  I do not have a separate category for fall, but all fall collections are programmed for the sale.)

Thread Bear Fabrics

New collections are still arriving every week.  This week I check in Safari Dreams by the Morris Creative Group for QT Fabrics, Sweet and Plenty by Me and My Sister Designs for Moda, and Ellie by Brenda Riddle for Moda.  Each of these collections would be great for baby and children's quilts.

We are currently planning classes to start in January in our new classroom. Our next Block of the Month will be Chatworth designed by Doug Leko.  More infomation will be coming in November.

We hope you enjoy the sale and until next week...

Happy Quilting,

Janet & Randy, Joseph, Tina, Jonna, and Jennifer

As Halloween draws neigh - dreaded Halloween Humor:

*************************************

Last Halloween there was a knock on the door. I looked out of the window and then shouted upstairs to my wife, “Honey there’s a witch at the door. What shall I do?”

She shouted back, “Just give her some candy and tell her to get lost.”

My mother-in-law hasn’t spoken to me since.
********************************************************

My wife said to me yesterday, “Honey, I think we should do something really scary for the kids this Halloween.”

I said, “Well, we could always take them to your mother’s.”

Too many spiders in your house can turn it into a no fly zone.

********************************************************

One of our daughters is so scared of spiders that she leaves the house until I get rid of them.

we’ve been living alone and peacefully for six hours now.

A group of trick or treaters approached the 4 BR ranch and rang the bell. As a comely elderly woman opened the door with a large bowl of assorted treats she was greeted with a resounding  "Trick or Treat" from the group.

Smiling broadly, the elderly lady proceeded to dispense treats and said out loud, " Well, well! Let's see who we have here. A witch, a skeleton."

Suddenly, puzzlement overcame her features and she inquired of the child in a three piece suit, sick pin, and patent leather shoes, "Who are you supposed to be?"

The kid in a casual self-assured manner replied, " Lady, I'm the scariest of the lot - I'm your financial advisor!"

Halloween Wisdom:

*"Little bitty candy bars do not make little bitty butts".

*If you work in the medical field, have patient contact, and have to work on Halloween use some fashion since -- A Grim Reaper costume is probably not the best choice.

*Make this Halloween memorable - Give out EX-lax for treats! They're chocolate! Right?

*******************************************************
Did you hear about the witch that went to Mickey D's on Halloween and asked how many kids came with a Happy Meal?
*******************************************************

Griszelda - "Why are yo so sad? It's Halloween!"

Wicked Witch of the South - " I Went to the Doctor yesterday, He told me I could not have kids!

Griszelda -  "Well food allegeries are not the end of the world."

******************************************************

I'm not saying George's wife is ugly, but last Halloween she went to the neighbors house to get them to turn down the TV. They gave her some candy, told her it was a killer costume, and closed the door.
